Carp Grill with Andaliman/Sichuan Pepper Gravy (Indonesian Foods)


For Fish Marinate:
1. 2kg Carp Fish
2. 1 Lime/Lemon Juice
3. 1 Galangal (Blended as a paste)
4. 2 tsp Coriander
5. 1 tsp Pepper Powder
6. 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
7. 3 tsp Sweet Soya Sauce
8. Salt to taste
9. Butter for grill

For Andaliman/Sichuan Pepper Gravy:
1. 2 ons Andaliman
2. 5 Red Onion (Grilled)
3. 4 Candle Nut (Grilled)
4. 1 Lemon Grass
5. 20 Small Green Chili
6. 2 Lime Leaves (Small chopped)
7. 3 Lime Juice
8. Salt to taste



  • Clean the first fish then add lime juice, turmeric powder, coriander powder, galangal paste, pepper powder and sweet soya sauce. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  • For Andaliman Gravy: Make all the ingredients into smooth except lime leaves and live juice, after that put salt, lime juice and lime leaves mix well. Put in a bowl.
  • For Grill Fish: Take the marinated fish, marinate with butter for both of side then put to the oven/grill. Grilled both of side into golden brown color then take. Put to the plate.
  • Then put the andaliman gravy on the top of carp grilled. Mix well. Carp Grilled with Andaliman Gravy is ready to serve. Yummi.
